‘Duke of Edinburgh’s Int’l Award’ launched in city

Students of DPS STS School have been involved with the world’s most prestigious award program namely ‘The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award’, as the authority of school officially launched the program on Tuesday at its campus at Uttara in the city.
The program started with welcome speech of Madhu Wal, Vice Principal of DPS STS School.
In her speech she said “Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DEA) program is a landmark beginning at the school and encouraged student to join the program”.
Dr KM Shariful Huda, National Director of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation Bangladesh explained the benefits and importance of Award briefly.
A Power Point presentation on the Award was delivered by Award Coordinator Imran Wahiduzzaman.
Chief guest at the function Rizwan Bin Farouq, Chairman of The Executive Committee of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation Bangladesh said, ” DEA program is a Journey with full of fun which inspired the students to join the program so that they develop themselves holistically”  
Harsh Wal, Principal of DPS STS School, said, he himself is a DEA award holder and formally announced the award’s launching and invited all of the eligible students to avail the opportunity.
A visual Identity for the DEA was presented to the principal by the Chairman of DEA EC while announcing the school as a partner of DEA, Bangladesh.
An interactive ‘Question-Answer Session’ was held to make clear different sections and issues of the award which was actively participated by the students and parents.
