The leaders of Dhaka University Journalists’ Association (DUJA) on Wednesday called on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
DUJA Adviser and Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique led the delegation while DUJA President M M Jasim, General Secretary Saddam Hossain, Vice-President Nazmus Sadat, Joint-Secretary Galib Ashraf, Finance Secretary Moloy Kumar Dutta, Executive Members Matiur Tanif, Eyamin Sajed and Rafiqul Islam were present.
The delegation apprised the President of the activities of DUJA.
Abdul Hamid urged the delegation to pursue objective journalism and advised them to refrain from publishing any motivated news.
Press Secretary to the President Ihsanul Karim and concerned secretaries to the President’s office were present during the meetings.
