Dubai victims’ bodies to be brought soon

The bodies of four Bangladesh nationals who were killed in a fatal road accident in Dubai on Saturday will soon be brought back home after settling insurance claims and other compensation, said Foreign Ministry on Sunday.
Officials at the Bangladesh Consulate General in Dubai, UAE is working with the UAE authorities concerned as well as the employers of the deceased to bring back the bodies as soon as possible.
Fifteen Asian workers, including the four Bangladeshis, were killed, while 14 others injured in the road accident. Among
the deceased, 11 were Indians. The Bangladeshi deceased are Masum Dhali, son of Ilu Dhali, and Alamgir, son of Badsha Miah of Chandpur, M Badrul Hasan, son of M Nabial Haque of Sitakund in Chittagong, and Nazrul Islam, son of Kalimullah of Jaintapur in Sylhet.
Among the injured, nine are Bangladeshis while five Indians. Five injured Bangladeshis were released after first aid while four are still undergoing treatment.
Three of the injured, now hospitalised, — Mujib, son of Mokbul of Hajiganj in Chandpur, Abdul Quader, son of Abdul Gaher of Joydebpur in Gazipur, and Abu Taher, son of Nurul Islam of Debidwar in Comilla — are out of danger, said the Foreign Ministry media note quoting officials at the Dubai Consulate General.
Another injured, Ibrahim Miazi, son of Abdul Khaleque of Chandpur, sustained serious chest injury but his condition remains stable, it said.
Miazi is being treated at the Rashid Hospital, the best in Dubai for treating emergency and trauma patients in its ICU unit.
The accident occurred when the bus they were travelling in rammed into a parked truck on a road shoulder. The bus was carrying 29 workers when it hit the truck.
