Dhaka University (DU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. A A M S Arefin Siddique expressed deep shock at the demise of language veteran Abdul Matin.
In a condolence message, the VC said, “Abdul Matin was one of the leading student leader and organizer of the Language Movement. His death caused a huge loss for the nation and his contribution in the language movement will be ever remembered.”
He prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
