DU to hold int’l symposium on Bangabandhu’s birth centenary

Dhaka University Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning is going to organize a virtual international symposium titled ‘Teaching and Learning in Higher Education’ marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman will inaugurate the symposium as the chief guest on December 6, said a press release. Professor Emeritus of the University of Canterbury, New Zealand Janinka Greenwood will present a keynote speech at the symposium while Director of the Arena Center of University College of London, the UK Sam Smith and Professor of Educational Development Simon Walker will discuss on the keynote speech.
The Director of Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning Prof Dr Sabita Rizwana Rahman, Additional Director ATM Samshuzzoha will address, among others.
Teachers, students, researchers and professionals from various higher educational institutions in Bangladesh and abroad will take part in the symposium.
Various important topics will be discussed in the symposium including ‘University Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century: Criticality and Challenges’, and ‘Addressing the challenges of teaching and learning in the time of Covid-19 ‘.
