A special convocation of Dhaka University (DU) will be held at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the campus at 2pm on July 4.
The decision was taken at a syndicate meeting on June 14 as per the recommendation of the university’s Academic Council, said a DU press release on Sunday.
Chancellor of the university President Abdul Hamid will chair the convocation while Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukiya Amano will address as the convocation speaker.
Yukiya Amano will be given Doctor of Laws degree in the convocation, the release added.
