In order to promote education and research, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Dhaka (DU) and the University of Lapland, Finland was signed on Sunday at DU Vice-Chancellor’s Office. Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin and Vice-Rector of University of Lapland Prof. Dr. Jukka Makela signed this MoU on behalf of their respective institution.
Vice-Chancellor of DU Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, Chairman of the Department of International Relations Prof. Ehsanul Haque, Prof. Dr. Delwar Hossain, Assistant Prof. Aynul Islam, Acting Registrar Syed Rezaur Rahman and International Coordinator of University of Lapland Jani Suokaniev were present on this occasion.
According to the MoU, University of Dhaka and University of Lapland will exchange faculties, scholars, students, officials, academic materials and information. The two universities will jointly conduct research activities and organize seminars, conferences and academic meetings.
