Authorities of Dhaka University (DU) have chalked out an elaborate programme to celebrate the Independence and National Day on March 26 with due respect.
The day-long programmes will include hoisting of national flag atop all central buildings and residential halls at 6 am, assembled at Aparajeyo Bangla at 6 am, proceeding towards National Memorial to pay tributes at 6.15 am, distribution of sweets among children of the university employees at 9 am and cultural functions at Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) at 6.30pm.
DU Music department and Theatre and Performance Studies department will perform in the cultural function, said a DU press release on Tuesday.
