The fresher’s reception for the first year honours students of the Department of Persian Language and Literature of Dhaka University (DU) was held on Monday at the TSC auditorium of the university. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique addressed the function as the chief guest.
Chairman of the Department Prof Dr Abdus Sabur Khan presided over the function while Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangladesh Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi addressed it as special guests. Assistant Prof Md Ahsanul Hadi delivered welcome speech on the occasion.
