DU, JU students among 4 jailed, 6 held for RU admission test forgery

A mobile court on Tuesday sentenced four youth including two Dhaka and Jahangirnagar University students to jail for different periods and handed over five other students to police for Rajshahi University admission test forgery.
The convicted were identified as Firoz Ahmed, a 3rd year student of bangla department of Jahangirnagar University, Shariful Islam hailed from Gibandha, Jamal Ahmed, a first year student of Institute of Education and Research of Dhaka University, and Fazle Rabby from Bogra.
Firoz and Shariful were sentenced to one year jail and fined Tk1000 for appearing examination instead of genuine applicant while Jamal was sentenced for six month jail for creating anarchy in the exam hall and Fazle Rabby got one month jail for trying to change the question paper set code, said RU Proctor Prof Tarikul Hasan in his office to the newsmen.
Firoz and Shariful were held from 307 no. room of 3rd science building during the E unit test while Rabby was held from room no. 235 of 4th science building in D unit test but Jamal’s room number could not be known immediately.
