The annual inter-department football tournament of Dhaka University kicked off Monday at the university’s central playground.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the tournament while DU football committee President Prof Asim Sarkar presided over the inaugural function, said a release here.
DU Gymnasium Director and Adviser Professor M Ziaul Haque Mamun along with teachers, students and officials of different departments were present at the inaugural function.
A total of 77 teams will compete in the tournament.
