DU female student picked up by DB

A Dhaka University (DU) female student, who is quota reformation movement activist also, was picked up by Detective Branch (DB) of Police for interrogation on Tuesday, confirmed Dhaka University (DU) Proctor Professor AKM Golam Rabbani.
Sheikh Tasnim Afroz Emi, a masters student of Sociology Department was picked up by DB police around 7pm last night. Emi was a former General Secretary of ‘Slogan 71’, which was a loyal organisation of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
DU Proctor said, “DB took her for interrogation only, whether she was involved with cyber crime or not.”
Sources said, she is in DB headquarters now. She will be freed if law enforcers won’t find any suspicious thing.
Eyewitnesses claimed, Emi was taking tea in front of Shamsunnahar Hall at a tea stall with one of her friends. At that time, few civil dressed DB officials asked her to go near their microbus for talking with a high official of DB after exposing their identity. Emi’s friend also went with her towards microbus. All on a sudden two white microbuses came and they picked up Emi, leaving her friend. Some DB officials were holding their ID cards.
