UNB, Dhaka :
Miscreants torched a bus of Dhaka University (DU) in the city’s Mirpur area on Thursday afternoon.
The DU bus was set ablaze in Mirpur-1 area around 3:45pm while it was going to Mirpur to drop the university students, said DU proctor AM Amzad Hossain.
However, no one was injured in the incident.
Meanwhile, DU students caught a young man in front of Madhur Canteen on the campus around 8pm while he was allegedly trying to carry out acts of sabotage.
He was given a mass beating before being handed over to police, said Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of the Shahbagh Police station.
In another development, two crude bombs were recovered in from the Arts Building in an abandoned condition around 12:30pm.
