DU bids farewell to 38 retired teachers

Dhaka University bade farewell to 38 teachers who retired from different departments and institutes in 2015-16 academic sessions.
Dhaka University Teachers Association organised the farewell ceremony at Mozaffar Ahmed Chowdhury auditorium of the university.
Addressing as the chief guest, Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique said “You (teachers) gave knowledge to students at the university for a long time. As per the rule of the profession, you are going to retirement but the university will have relations with you always.”
“There is no other asset as like as relations. Love is the main strength of relations. We have to take ahead the country and the society by establishing such relations, practicing of it and through its continuation” he added.
Prof AFM Yusuf Haider, Prof AKM Monwar Uddin Ahmad, Prof Khondkar Sidddique-e-Rabbani and Prof Nazma Begum, among others, of the outgoing teachers, addressed the function.
