DSE daily turnover dips below Tk 300cr

Key share price index in the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – continues to be in red on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 44.16 points or 0.95 percent to reach 4591.17 at the close of trading on Sunday. Of the 292 issues traded, 92 gained, 165 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 292.51 crore changed hands at the DSE on the day as against Tk 353.46 crore on Thursday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were UCBL, AB Bank, First Lease Finance and Investment, Libra Infusions, Uttara Finance, UCL, ICB 2nd NRB Mutual Fund, Republic Insurance, Reckitt Benckiser (BD), and Pragati Insurance.
The CSE key index, CSCX also lost 93.38 points to reach 8937.05 at the close. Of the 215 issues traded, 52 advanced, 137 suffered loss and 26 remained unchanged. The value of the traded issues was Tk 23.59 crore enchanged hand on Sunday.
