Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – gained for the second consecutive session on Wednesday, the 4th trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 11.58 points or 0.25 percent to close at 4668.06 on the day. Of the 305 issues traded, 143 gained, 105 declined and 57 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 203.79 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday against Tk 194.52 crore on Tuesday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Libra Infusions, ACI Formulations, City General Insurance, Grameen Mutual Fund One, Northern General Insurance Company, Global Insurance, Desh Garmants, Peoples Insurance, Al-Haj Textile, and Prime Finance First Mutual Fund.
The 5 turnover leaders of the day were Titas Gas Transmission, Grameenphone, Aamra Technologies, Lafarge Surma Cement, and Investment Corporation of Bangladesh.
The CSE key index, CSCX, gained 35.62 points to reach 8678.71 on Wednesday. Of the 229 issues traded, 109 advanced, 81 suffered loss and 39 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 15.55 crore at the CSE on the day.
