Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — gained for the four consecutive sessions on Wednesday, the 4th trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 23.84 points or 0.50 percent to close at 4810.54 on the day. The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were BEXIMCO, Phoenix Finance 1st Mutual Fund, Intech Online, Bdcom Online, United Airways, ICB AMCL Second Mutual Fund, Gemini Sea Food, Rangpur Dairy & Food Products, Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company, and Agni System.
The CSE key index, CSCX, gained 39.87 points to reach 8924.14 on Wednesday. Of the 233 issues traded, 107 advanced, 96 suffered loss and 30 remained unchanged.
