DSE, CSE indices down

Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – suffered loss on Wednesday, the 4th trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 58.93 points or 1.23 percent to close at 4742.22 on the day. Of the 308 issues traded, 36 gained, 248 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 342.69 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday against Tk 309.11 crore on Tuesday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were NCCBL Mutual Fund-1, Alltex Industries, Northern Jute Manufacturing, Shyampur Sugar Mills, Intech Online, Sinobangla Industries, 5th ICB Mutual Fund, Quasem Drycells, Peoples Leasing and Financial Services, and Green Delta Mutual Fund.
The 5 turnover leaders of the day were MJL Bangladesh, Square Pharmaceuticals, Lafarge Surma Cement, ACI, and Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company.
