Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — lost for the consecutive third session on Tuesday.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX shed 18.61 points or nearly 0.38 percent to close at 4898.82 on the day. Of the 304 issues traded, 125 gained, 147 suffered loss and 33 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 627.99 crore changed hands at the DSE on Tuesday compared to Tk 691 crore on the previous day.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were BDCOM Online, Dulamia Cotton, Kohinoor Chemicals, National Polymer, Metro Spinning, Premier Cement, Saif Powertec, Prime Textile, Western Marine Shipyard, and Orion Infusion.
The CSE key index, CSCX lost 46.82 points to reach 9243.24 at close on the day.
