Key share price indices at the country’s twin bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced loss on Wednesday.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX dropped 35.18 points or 0.79 percent to finish at 4442.82 on the day. Of the 307 issues traded, 104 gained, 161 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 313.35 crore changed hands at the DSE on Wednesday against Tk 289.71 crore on Tuesday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Union Capital, Global Insurance, Lafarge Surma Cement, HWA Well Textiles, Samata Leather Complex, Al-Arafah Islami, Stylecraft Limited, Aziz Pipes, First Lease Finance and Investment, and Mercantile Insurance.
The 5 turnover leaders at the DSE were Lafarge Surma Cement, Grameenphone, ACI, Shahjibazar Power, and Ifad Autos.
