As part of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) initiative, a mobile court conducted it drive in the city’s RK Mission Road led by its Executive Magistrate and cut down some illegal overhead cables in the area around 5pm. But it was learned through spot investigation, two hours later of DSCC drive, local cable tv and internet line providers again repair the cables and reconnected the internet line without any permission.
When asked DSCC’s Executive Magistrate Moniruzzaman regarding this, he said they were informed about it. “Even we have already informed the matter to the Chief Executive of the DSCC. We are waiting for the next order”, Executive Magistrate added.
Earlier, DSCC started several mobile court drives against illegal television cable lines.
These drive started after directions from DSCC Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh in line with the Cable Television Network Operation Act-2006.
