Dry weather likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted mainly dry weather with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours, having chances of light rain or thundershowers over Cox’s Bazar region.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, a met office press release said here on Wednesday.
Southwest monsoon has withdrawn from Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Noakhali, Cumilla and Chattogram. It persists over Cox’s Bazar region and is likely to withdraw during the next 24 hours.
Monsoon is less active over Cox’s Bazar region and weak over North Bay. Trough of westerly low lies over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining area.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded by 33.5 degree Celsius jointly at Feni and Cox’s Bazar and lowest temperature on Wednesday was recorded by 19.6-degree Celsius at Tetulia.
