Dry weather likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Friday predicted that weather may remain mainly dry across the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am.
“Weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere over the country having chances of light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet and Dhaka divisions,” said a Met Office press release here.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
A low has formed over North Andaman sea and adjoining area. Trough of low lies from Bihar to Assam across west Bengal and Bangladesh. Monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak over North Bay.
Maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 35.5 degree Celsius at Rangamati and lowest temperature on Friday was recorded by 24.4 degree Celsius at Tetulia.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am yesterday was recorded by 11 millimeters (mm) at Chandpur.
