RAB-13,Rangpur seized one short-gun and gaza from a narcotic trader at Balarhat frontier under Phulbari upazila of Kurigram district and arrested him on last Saturday night. Next RAB members handed him to Phubari police station at 2pm on Sunday.
The arrested was identified as Masur Ali(37) son of Aman Uddin of Gazerkuthi village of Naodanga union under Phulbari upazila and a narcotic trader. Police and RAB sources said acting on tip-off, held Masur Ali at Balarhat Bazar of the Naodanga union at Saturday late night and recovered one short-gun and 5 kg of gaza according his given information. Khondoker Fuad Ruhani, Officer-in-charge of the police station, (OC) said, a case was filed with the police station in the firm arms act and the narcotic control act against Masur Ali. He has been produced before the court on Sunday noon.
