Police of Kawnia police station operating drive at Kawnia branch road area of the city on Wednesday noon arrested construction worker and tiles carpenter Russell Haoladar, 26, and recovered 300 pieces of different coloured Yaba from his possession.
At that time Jitu, 27, Vatikhan Kazibari Majid area and associate of Russell, managed to flee from the scene during the raid, said Azimul Karim, officer in charge of the police station.Khairul Alam, deputy commissioner of Barishal Metropolital Police (north), said Sub Inspector Miraz Molla as complainant lodged a case against the two accused under narcotic control act with Kawnia police station and arrested Russell sent to jail after producing before the court.n Police also continued drive to arrest absconding accused Jitu, police sources claimed.
