Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a drug peddler with contraband Yaba tablets in Dewanganj upazila in the district on Thursday.
The arrested was identified as Md Nabir Islam, 29, son of late Nur Mohammad of village Shoulmary in Roumary upazila under Kurigram district.
RAB-14 sources said acting on a tip-off a team of the elite force led by company commander, Hayatul Islam Khan raided South Chakpara area in the upazila and arrested Islam with 550 pieces of Yaba tablets from his possession.
A case was registered in this connection.
