Police have arrested a drug dealer namely Sohag Khan (35) with 150 liters of domestic liquor in a raid in the Railgate area of Ishwardi on Saturday. He is the son of Abdur Rashid of Darinaricha (Methar Para) area of the city, police said.
Shahidul Islam, in-charge inspector of the city’s Ambagan police outpost, said, “We are conducting the operation with a force led by Additional Superintendent of Police Firoz Kabir.”
The liquor was recovered from a battery-powered van in Regate and Sohag was arrested.
A case has been filed against Sohag under the Narcotics Control Act, said Asaduzzaman Asad, officer-in-charge of the police station.
