Alleged drug addicts stabbed to death a youth and wounded his father as they protest their acts on Wednesday.
The dead were identified as M Sayed, 18, son of Abul Khayer of Gayerpur village under Kotwali police station. His father is undergoing treatment at Jessore General Hospital.
Abul Khayer told newsmen that his son died at the hospital on Wednesday after being stabbed Mizan, son of the house owner Abdus Sattar along with others at Gayerpur where they were living on rent as they protested their acts. They also beat him. The incident took place at around 8pm on Tuesday.
Dr Imran of the hospital told that the youth died due to excessive bleeding.
Ilias Hossain, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told that a case was lodged in this connection. But none was arrested.
