One mother Bulbuly Begum (50 ) was killed by his drug addicted son at Bhurungamari upazila in Kurigran district at about 8 pm on Wednesday.
The aunt of the killer was injured seriously who was admitted to Bhurungamari upazila Health Complex.The killer Belal was escaped after the killing incident.
A case was filed in this connection against Belal on Thursday morning and Police arrested the killer Belal at night on the day.Chairman of Baldia union council Mokhlesur Rahman told that Belal a drug addicted person and son of a business man Bahar Ali of village Shahi Bazaar under Baldia union of the upazila used to take drug and beat up and do rough behalf with his inmates as well as neighbors. On the day of occurrence Belal returned home in drug addicted condition. At that time his mother Bulbuly Begum and aunt Hazera Begum tried to resist him causing he became furious and at one stage he hit on the head of his mother with a handle of a side tube well.
When his aunt came ahead she was also hit by the killer. His mother was killed on the spot.His aunt Hazera Begum seriously injured while she was coming to safe her mother he also hit her.Next she was sent first into Bhurungamari Health Complex and then into Rangpur Medical College Hospital while her condition was giong to detroite.
Officer-in-charge of Kachakata police station Zakirul Islam chowdhuri admitted the incident and told New Nation that the dead body of Bulbuli was sent to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for post mortem . Police arrested killer Belal on Thursday night after filing a case in this connection.
