UNB, Dhaka :
Branding BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia as an educated devil, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu on Sunday said the BNP chief has to be driven out of the country for the sake of democracy.
“Some educated devils speak for democracy but lead the fight of fire-terrorism. Khaleda is the mentor of these educated devils. Khaleda Zia has to be driven out of the country for the interest of democracy,” he said.
Inu, also the president of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Inu), made the remarks while addressing a discussion arranged by Bangladesh Primary Assistant Teachers Society at the Jatiya Press Club.
The minister also alleged that the BNP chief is hatching a conspiracy to topple an elected democratic government to create a new crisis in the country.
He also said Bangladesh will not be a country of religious fanatics and militants, no matter how much Khaleda Zia and her cliques try to engage in arson, petrol bomb attacks and terrorism.
Observing that the allowance of Assistant Primary teachers is insufficient, Inu sought the Prime Minister’s intervention in this regard.
Anisur Rahman, acting president of Bangladesh Primary Assistant Teachers’ Society, presided over the programme.
