The draw ceremony, logo un-veiling programme of Walton Federation Cup Football were held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Saturday. Besides, an agreement was signed between Walton Group and Bangladesh Football Federation at the same venue on the same day.
Senior Vice-President of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, Vice-President of the Federation Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Member of BFF Abdur Rahim, Chairman of the Grounds Committee of BFF Fazlur Rahman Babul, Senior Additional Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn were present on the occasion, among others.
The Walton Federation Cup will begin on June 10 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
A total of 12 teams splitting into four groups will take part in the prestigious football meet. Top two teams from each group will play in the quarter-finals on June 17 to June 20. The winners of the quarter-final will play in the semi-finals on June 22 and June 23.
The 17-day long will come to an end on June 26. The final will be held on June 26.
Dhaka Abahani Limited, Feni Soccer Club, Arambagh Krira Sangha have been billed in Group A, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra, Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra, Chittagong Abahani Limited have been placed in Group B, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Brothers Union, Uttar Baridhara Club have been billed in Group C, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club, Team BJMC, Rahmatganj MFS have been taken place in Group D.
The best player of the tournament and the highest scorer of the meet will be given Walton LED Television each. Besides, the Man of the Match will get Walton Home Appliance.
