Dr Zafrullah’s health condition improve slightly

The health condition of Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, the Founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, improve slightly, officials of the hospital said.
Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury who has tested positive for coronavirus, received plasma therapy for the third time on Friday night alongside the regular kidney dialysis.
“It seems that his (Zafrullah’s) condition has improved slightly thanFriday as the ventilator was taken off this morning. He has been now given the oxygen support. He has started taking normal food from the morning,” Gonoshasthaya Kendra Public Relations Officer Farhad Hossain said journalists on Saturday.
Farhad said that his physicians suggested the Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder some medical tests to assess his current health condition.
Dr. Zafrullah’s fever has gone down, but he has still breathing problem. He will be kept under close observation of the doctors for the next two to three days, Dr. Farhad said.
Dr Chowdhury’s physical condition deteriorated a little as his breathing complications found on Thursday night.
He has been receiving treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in the city’s Dhanmondi under the supervision of Brigadier Dr Mamun Mustafiz and Prof Dr Najib.
Zafrullah, also a freedom fighter, underwent coronavirus test and found positive on May 25.
