Dr Sufian joins Higher Education Forum in Brunei

Dr Abu Sufian, professor of Statistics and Operation Research, University of Bahrain has been invited by the CEO, QS Asia, and the Vice Chancellor of ‘Universiti Brunei Darussalam’, Brunei, to participate in the discussion on the current higher education issues and development in specific areas of interest, known as ‘QS in Conversation’ organized by the University to be held in Brunei during 14-16 October this year.
The event will surround the theme “Higher Education in Asia: Models, Transformations, and Challenges” and is intended to become the rendezvous for presidents, vice presidents, deans, academics, and higher education enthusiasts keen to know the latest higher education trends in various parts of the world.
Dr Sufian participated in the World Summits on Information Society in Switzerland (2003), Tunisia (2005), and France (2013) on invitation from the relevant authorities.
Dr Sufian, who taught in the Department Of Statistics, Jahangirnagar University, 1974-76, is the second son of late Moulana AKM Abdul Majid, a former lecturer of Residential Model School and College, Barisal.
