Prof Dr Munaz Ahmed Noor joined Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as the Vice-Chancellor on 1st April, 2016 on being appointed by the Secretary General of the 57-nation OIC on the recommendation of the Government of Bangladesh.
Before joining IUT, he served as Pro Vice-Chancellor of the National University in a very innovative and dynamic way.
He authored a number of books and has a large number of publications in International journals.
He is the Vice President of Alternative and Sustainable Energy Foundation and also of Bangladesh Earthquake Society. He is a Fellow of Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh.
Dr Munaz is also a member of “Digital Bangladesh Task force” headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Prof Munaz received his PhD from University of Tokyo in 2000. Earlier he earned his MSc and BSc in Civil Engineering from BUET.
