Dr Khurshid Akter joined Bangladesh forest research institute as Director on 28th September.
She obtained B.Sc. (Honor’s) degree in chemistry from Chittagong University in 1981 and obtained Masters in 1983 and done Ph.D. from Jahangir Nagar University in 2011.
Dr. Khurshid Akter joined BFRI as research associate and Joined as Divisional Forest officer in 2004 and take the charge as chief research officer in 2011.
She hailed from the village of Sultanpur in Rauzan ,Chittagong in a respectable Muslim family.
Dr. Khurshid Akter visited many Country for research purpose ,like Philippine, Japan, Germany, Netherlands, UK, Chaina and Malaysia.
