The Chairperson, Board of Trustees, East West University, and member of the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, left Dhaka for the United States to attend an extraordinary meeting of ICSC. ICSC is an important component of the United Nations, it coordinates job-related policies and staff management of employees who work worldwide in UN and other international organizations. This extraordinary meeting of ICSC will be held in the United Nations Headquarter in New York on 5 to 8 December 2018. Dr. Farashuddin will return to the country, after the meeting on 9 December 2018.
Dr Mohammed Farashuddin took up the position of ICSC in January 2017. Earlier, he was also served as the governor of Bangladesh Bank, and as personal secretary to Bangabandhu.
