Dr Anisuzzaman honoured by World University

The World University of Bangladesh has recently organized a reception in honour to noted educationist, freedom fighter and activist of Language movement, Emeritus Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman for his receiving the prestigious award “Padma Bhushan”. The university awarded him a gold medal at a ceremony held at the National Museum auditorium in the capital.
Health and family welfare minister Mohammed Nasim was the chief guest at the function while former secretary and chief information commissioner, and chairman of National Museum M Azizur Rahman was the special guest. Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of the university presided over the ceremony.
Morsheda Choudhury, Treasurer of World University read out the “Reception Address” to Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman and presented a beautiful replica of a Lotus flower. Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university delivered the address of welcome.
Chief Guest, Mohammed Nasim said let the Emeritus Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman live long and inspire us to uphold the spirit of the liberation war.
Dr. Anisuzzaman said that erosion of moral values is prominent in all around. Our present generation along with all of us should come forward to uphold the lost values.
Prof Dr Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of the university said WUB family is happy and wishes him all brilliant achievements in his life.
