The Oscars Bangladesh Committee has selected Mostofa Sarwar Farooki-helmed film ‘Doob’ as Bangladesh’s entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards (Oscar).
Federation of Bangladesh Film Societies, which selects Bangladesh’s entry for Oscars, announced the name on Sunday at a press conference held at a hotel in the capital.
Present at the press conference were Committee Chairperson Habibur Rahman Khan, Channel i Managing Director Faridur Reza Sagar, ‘Doob’ director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Abdul Aziz, chairman of Jaaz multimedia, actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha and others.
