UNB, Dhaka :
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday called upon all not to get scared with the recent unwanted incidents and carry out their everyday activities with courage.
She made the call while speaking at a press conference held at her official residence Ganabhaban. The press conference was arranged to brief the media about the outcome of her just-concluded three-day visit to the Netherlands.
Cesare Tavella, 50, an Italian citizen, was shot dead by miscreants in the city’s Gulshan area on September 28, while Hoshi Kunio, 65, a Japanese national, was gunned down near his farmhouse in Rangpur on October 3. Besides, publisher Faisal Arefin Dipan, 45, was stabbed to death by miscreants in the city’s Shahbagh
area on October 31. Two policemen were also murdered while on duty.
“They couldn’t create any political crisis where people will get upset…you’ll have to continue your activities with fortitude and courage,” she said without elaborating who are those elements.
During the press conference, the Prime Minister repeatedly urged people to come forward and unite against any sort of terrorist activity by any vested quarter.
