Doleshwar post big win in Premier DPL super league

Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club recorded an overwhelming seven-wicket victory against Legends of Rupganj in the 5th round super league of Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League held on Wednesday at BKSP ground in Savar.
Chasing a paltry winning target of 144 runs set by Rupganj, Doleshwar hardly had to sweat as they comfortable reached home in 25.2 overs with seven wickets in hands, after Doleshwar bowlers dismissed Rupganj in a small total of 143 for all in 41.2 overs.
After the early wicket fall of opener Imtiaz Hissain, another opener Raqibul Hasan (66 n.o) first paired 70-run partnership with Ronny Talukder (42) for the second wicket stand and then again shared 57-run with Indian recruit Sachin Baby (23) for the third wicket stand to guide Doleshwar towards the cakewalk victory. Raqibul smashed 10 boundaries during his 77-ball stay on the crease.
Abu Haider, Alauddin Babu and Taijul Islam shared one wicket apiece.
Earlier, put to bat first, Legends of Rupganj suffered a dramatic collapse from 3-43 inside 12 overs, Rupganj lost their remaining seven wickets only for 100 runs. Asif Ahmed witnessed the fall of wickets from his end, and stood his ground with 59 not out to his name. The next highest Rupganj batsman was Pawan Negi who added 16.
Doleshwar skipper Farhad Reza used his bowlers properly and Rahatul Ferdous responded to his call of duty with four wickets conceding 36 runs in 10 overs. Al-Amin Hossain claimed 3-29 to put the skids on Rupganj innings.
Al-Amin Hossain of Doleshawar was named the player of the match.
