Dog squad in Ctg Port in search of explosives, arms

Dog Squad of BGB deployed in Chittagong Port for searching any explosives, arms, ammos and intoxicated drugs in the imported containers to avoid any kinds of violence , militancy in the country using these contraband explosives by the terrorists. The operation of doq squad named ‘IRIN’ was deployed at 10 am yesterday at No.8 shed of the Port .
 Customs Intelligence & Investigation Directorate is conducting the operation duly cooperated by Port, customs and other govt agencies, a port sources said. Mentionable that following the terrorists attack and resisting the militancy, combing operation of dog squad IRIN is introduced in the country from July 8 last like 33 other countries of ASEAN and Pacific regions . Primarily, the combing operation was launched in airports first and will be introduced in land ports and sea ports in phases, sources said.
Regional Laison office for Asia and Pacific under World Customs Organisation(WCO) is coordinating the operation of dog squad, sources said.
Earlier similar operation was launched in Chittagong Shah Amanat International airport for three days.
The combing operation IRIN will conduct operation for 2 days in chittagong port, sources added. Additional DG of CIID Hossain Ahmed confirmed the operationof dog squad in the evening.
