Mahbubul Alam Hanif has urged doctors not to deny any patient during the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“Physicians have the responsibility to identify who is infected with coronavirus and who is not. Don’t deny anyone having symptoms of COVID 19,” he told journalists before attending a meeting on keeping essential goods price under control at Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kushtia on Thursday. Hanif also requested physicians to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity during the ongoing crisis.
Kushtia district police handed over a total of 400 personal protective equipment (PPE) (COVID-19) to Kushtia civil surgeon HM Anwarul Islam for ensuring protection of the doctors and nurses in the region. Police Super S M Tanvir Arafat also introduced ‘Food Assistance Programme’ for wage earners and destitute people of the district at Police Lines area in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.
