Police recovered the body of a doctor of Melandah upazila health complex from the residential quarter of the hospital on Sunday night .
The deceased was identified as Sultana Parvin, 37, daughter of Alauddin Azad, hailing from Saturia in Manikganj. She was a member of the 30th BCS batch.
Dr Fazlul Haque, upazila health and family planning officer, said Sultana returned to her quarter on Saturday after finishing her duties.
As she did not come out from the quarter till Sunday evening and there was no response from her room, other staff of the hospital along with police broke into her flat and found her dead,

said Sima Rani Sarker, additional superintendent of Jamalpur police.
Primarily, police suspected that the doctor killed herself by injecting pathedrin as they found five pathedrin and a injection syringe under her pillow, said the police official.
An unnatural death case was filed at Melandah Police Station.
