Dr. Das Ranabir, 45, a doctor in Barishal region who changed the negative image of the physicians among mass people and locally known as a `doctor of the poor’ was passes away on Saturday night in a private hospital of Dhaka City.
He was sufferings from liver and kidney diseases since long days and was under treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka from last month.
His dead body brought to his native upazila Gournadi of Barishal on Sunday and cremated at family cremation ground in Bilbagram of the upazila on Sunday afternoon.
He was son of late popular rural medical practitioner late Krishnakanta Das and left two daughters, pregnant wife and thousands of well wishers.
