BNP mayor candidate in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) election Ishraque Hossain has urged Saturday Awami League (AL) candidate Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh not to influence the upcoming election.
He said this while talking to reporters in his election office at Gopibagh in the capital.
“As far as I know, he (Taposh) is a gentleman. I would urge the AL candidates not to make any kind of influences in the elections. Those in charge
of the law and the management of the elections will perform their duties impartially. We will then accept whatever may be the election results.
He said, “The ruling party has been in power for a long time but it failed to give people anything. I think they won’t be able to bring any change in present situation.”
He said, “I share my plan with the voters during election campaign daily but I’ll formally announce my election manifesto on January 27.”
