The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has conducted eviction drive in city’s Gulshan on Monday to remove illegal structures.
Few dozens of makeshift shops and illegal structures were evicted in the city’s Gulshan-2, Road No-48 area and remove illegal structures, signboards, banners, festoons and vendors from the footpath.
The team also fined Tk 61, 000 by three different cases for keeping construction materials on the road and footpath, business continued by grabbing
footpaths and car parking in front of the Nagor Bhaban.
Executive Magistrates Mir Nahid Ahsan and Roslina Parvin led the mobile courts in Gulshan-2 area.
No one will be allowed to do business occupying footpaths and roads causing sufferings to the public, said the Magistrate Roslina.
The drive against illegal encroachers will continue, she added.
