DIU VC attends Google India Summit

Campus report :Prof Dr M. Luftar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Md. Emran Hossain, Director (Administration) and Nadir Bin Ali, Deputy Director (IT) of Daffodil International University (DIU) attended Google for education India Summit on November 22-23, 2014 at Mumbai in India. This high intensity two day event focused on deploying, integrating and using Google Apps for Education to promote student learning in K-12 and university level higher education.Daffodil International University has got the approval to host “Google for Education Bangladesh Summit-2014” on February 27-28, 2015. Invited by the Ed Tech host of Google for education India Summit they attended the program to gain knowledge and sharing experience for holding Google for Education Bangladesh Summit. It is recognized that Google will continue to play a vital role in equipping future generations with the skills they need to thrive in the workforce of tomorrow. Technology supports collaborative learning and teaching in communities around the world, so Google invest heavily in education initiatives and partnerships through their products, programs, and tools all over the world.Google for Education Bangladesh Summit is an open 2 days event primarily focused on Google Apps for Education, but can also cover additional Google products like Google Earth, YouTube for Educations, Google Search, Google+, Google Drive, Google Calander, Google Hangouts, and Gmail etc. developed by members of the Google Apps for Education community. This high intensity two days event focuses on deploying, integrating and using Google Apps for Education to promote student learning for higher education. The program will be conducted by Google Certified Teachers, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers, exemplary practitioners, solution providers, Google engineers, and representatives from the Google Apps for Education team.
