Chess team leaves for Bangkok

Bangladesh chess team left Dhaka on Saturday for Bangkok to take part in the Asian Youth Chess Championship Open and Girls and Bangpai Age Groups Chess Championship that begins today (Sunday) at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Bangladesh will take part in both events. FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman will participate in open under-18 group, Subrota Biswas in open under-16 group, Marzouq Chowdhury in open under-16 group, Swarnavo Choudhury in open under-12 group, Syed Ridwan in open under-10 group, Manon Reja Neer in open under-8 group, Jannatul Ferdous in girls’ under-16 group and Noshin Anjum will participate in girls under-14 group of Asian Youth Chess.
Meanwhile, WIM Rani Hamid will participate in over 65 game groups while Warsia Khushbu will take part in under-6 age group of Bangpai Age Group Chess Championships which will be held at same place.
A total of 573 players from 29 Asian countries are participating in the events.
