She has been attached with music during her childhood. Her main inspiration was the country’s one of the renowned lyricists Gazi Mazharul Anwar, also father of her. She is Dithi Anwar. Her fourth solo musical album is going to be released soon. Executive Editor of monthly cultural and lifestyle magazine, Binodon Rudra Mahfuz took her interview on behalf of The New Nation recently. Pros and cons of the interview are mentioned here:NN: How you engaged with music?Dithi: During my childhood I saw my father, Gazi Mazharul Anwar was to attach with music. In different occasions, country’s noted musicians and lyricists came to our residence in the city’s Malibagh Chowdhury Para area. When I was only eight I got a harmonium as a gift from my father. From that time I was engaged with music. NN: But you were also engaged with acting once, why?Dithi: Basically music was in my blood. Once I had to agree to act to keep my father’s request. If I wanted I would become an actress, nobody forced me. But I wanted to become a singer, nothing else. NN: In mainstream, your music began with playback song, when you debuted career in audio arena?Dithi: I started my professional music career by playback song for movie Ulka in 1993. Till now I gave my vocal for playback songs of 50 movies. Recently I gave vocal for actor-director Shahriar Nazim Joy’s movie Prarthona and Ahmed Ali Mondal’s movie Prothom Dekha. I first released my solo album titled Lal Golaper Shuvechchha in 1993 under the banner of Soundtek. In 1998, my second album Moron Jodi Hoi and in 2006 my third solo Ekaler Gaan Sekaler Gaan was released under Impress Audio Vision’s banner. NN: You are going to release fourth album. Please tell about it.Dithi: After a break of nine years I am going to release my fourth solo album. I am expected to release it in Eid-ul-Fitr. There will be nine songs in the album. Seven tracks were written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar, while rest two songs were composed by Shafiq Tuhin and Kabir Bakul. Basically songs of this album are melody typed. I like melody songs. Therefore, modern folk and experimental songs will take place in the album. NN: You are also hosting musical show now. What’s about your feelings in this regard?Dithi: Besides rendering songs I am hosting a studio phono-live musical show titled Ichchhey Gaaner Dupur on Maasranga TV now. Therefore, I also hosted two shows on RTV. I really enjoying programme hosting because there is a scope to communicate with singer besides listening their songs in live show.
