The dispute centering construction of Sheikergaon West Jam-e- Mosque at Bishanath has been resolved at a meeting of local elite held at the mosque premises on October 18 .
The meeting was presided over by Alangkari UP Chairman Lilu Mia and it was attended by ex-UP chairman of Khajanji Peer Liakat Ali , ex UP chairman of Tetli UP Mainul Islam, social worker Haji Abdul hai , Rafiq Mia , Salah Ahmed Hira , Dudu Mia , Jamir Ali Member .
Sources said, relatives of UK expatriate Azizul Islam Bhuiyan Shaikh Moulana who created the problem sought apology and promised that in future they will never do such type of offence.
It is learnt that Hafiz Abdus Salam started the renovation work of that mosque in 2003 and he was selected life-time member of the mosque and later a lot of controversy was created in UK about Azizul Islam Bhuiyan Shaikh Moulana when Hafiz Abdus Salam visited UK . Efforts were taken to solve the problem but failed and this was solved this time.
